Human Resources

Barry Rees Chartered MA FCIPD MIOM

With over 20 years human resources and management experience to call upon, Barry offers clients pragmatic solutions with a strong business focus, allowing organisations to use their people processes to add value to the bottom line. Barry has a strong, hands-on approach, and a reputation for getting to the crux of the matter and having an eye for detail. He is also a skilled facilitator who communicates at all levels within organisations.

Barry is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and currently Vice Chair of the South-West London Branch, as well as a member of the National Upgrading Panel. He is a Member of the Institute of Operations Management and has collaborated with Durham Business School on "Developing Partnership Strategies and Managing the Knowledge which Underpins Distinctive Capabilities."

Michelle Prescott BA Chartered MCIPD

A professional qualified human resources and people management specialist with over 13 years practical experience in senior positions. She is skilled in managing change, resolving recruitment and retention issues and coordinating employee development programs. Her experience comes from working in a diverse range of private and public business sectors.

Occupational Health

Katie East well RGN OHND BBS MIOSH

Katie is a professionally qualified Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner with more than 15 years experience in the field of Occupational Health and Safety. Katie's experience is varied with past and current clients including the areas of banking, legal, detention centres, healthcare, commercial and production/manufacturing. She works closely with all her clients to offer simple and effective solutions which deliver results and meet the precise needs of the business.

Her main areas of interest/expertise are pre-employment screening and assessing fitness for work, managing sickness absence, preparing Occupational Health and Safety policies, carrying out Display Screen Equipment assessments and other workplace risk assessments, delivering health surveillance and organising health and safety training.

Marketing

Neil Brooks DipM MCIM

A highly experienced marketer with more than 17 years in senior positions for a number of high profile IT organisations before building his own marketing company. Neil brings to EBS a rich experience including marketing management roles for international giants such as Nortel, Honeywell Bull and Oracle on the one hand as well as practical assistance to a number of very small companies in and around Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

Neil is also a visiting lecturer and examiner in Marketing Strategy and Marketing Communications at Brunel University.

Financial Management

Malcolm Warden BTech FCMA

Malcolm has more than 25 years experience in financial management and business development, including senior positions in multi-national companies. He is a Qualified Chartered Management Accountant with a passion for delivering appropriate, timely, reliable information and leading the decisions and actions that come from it. With broad professional and business experience, a background in engineering and a deep interest in technology, Malcolm provides clients with innovative and practical solutions to diverse business concerns.

Malcolm’s background as both a qualified Engineer and Accountant helps him grasp operational and financial management issues quickly which, combined with his no-nonsense approach, helps speedy resolution of business issues.

General Management

John Champion BEng MBA FInstSMM

John is an experienced senior executive with a successful track record in general, sales and manufacturing management both in the UK and overseas. His achievements result from a combination of high technology market knowledge, drive, excellent leadership and motivational skills, adaptability, honesty, organisational flair and focus on both the top and bottom lines. Through extensive use of modern business approaches to problem solving and process improvement, John has added material value to each of the companies for whom he has worked. Uniquely, he is happy operating in both the global ‘blue chip’ and SME environments.

John has gained a wealth of experience managing a wide spectrum of companies at senior level within the electronics and IT sectors. In 1999 he became a management consultant and specialises in helping clients with business development, change management, and performance improvement. He has a qualification in business coaching and works with Directors and senior management teams to help them achieve their goals.
